Send a Kiss by Ben`je

'It was my husband, Jerry’s heart attack just over two years ago that gave him the idea for the Send a Kiss product. Jerry had been in the life casting business for several years prior to his ill health so already knew a lot about casting. While he was lying in his hospital bed awaiting his second heart surgery, not even sure if he would survive, he decided that he wanted to leave something behind for me should the worst happen. A gift I could treasure, that would always make me think of him. Jerry knew that one of the things that had first attracted me to him was his kissable lips so he set about making a cast of his kiss for me. From his hospital bed, with help from George his mate from his school days, he cast his kiss, added a piece of ribbon from a helium balloon and part of an old get well card. He wrote a special message on the card and posted me his kiss in a velour bag that had once been used for his mobile phone.

When I received the kiss the first thing I did was cry, it was a beautiful thing to receive and the personal message added with such care and thought made it all the more special. It reminded me of the time we were asked to cast a terminally ill mans hand for his wife, just three weeks before he died. She still treasures the cast of her husband's hand complete with wedding ring, it is now three years since he passed away and as she often says 'its all I have left'. Now more than ever, I understand, as I will always have Jerry's kiss with me and that very personal message he added, written at a time when neither of us knew what the future held.

Fortunately, after three surgeries, Jerry survived and is now in good health. During his recovery at home we set about making our first proto-type of ‘Send a Kiss’ as we thought that it was such a great idea, friends and family agreed and have been very supportive along the way....thank you to you all, you know who you are. Send a Kiss was something we knew the public would enjoy doing and that they would want to send to someone that they loved. Added to which the finished product really does last forever and each and every cast is totally unique. Now, here it is, after much work, research and time, all ready to be launched. We hope that people will have fun making their own cast and that the person receiving the kiss will' treasure it just as I have.
